Air Rescue Training & Simulation

About Us

Air Rescue Training & Simulation (ARTS) was born out of the success of Air Rescue UK, which has a wealth of experience in military and commercial all-weather Search & Rescue (SAR) operations. Instrumental in the successful stand-up of the UK MoD Falkland Islands SAR contract, Air Rescue UK continues to provide 24/7 operations in this and other demanding and inhospitable environments worldwide. Having also been responsible for projects such as Oil & Gas SAR in East Africa, Kazakhstan and Romania, including the ab initio training of the technical crew, and backed up by a wealth of experience in professional Learning & Development, Air Rescue UK became a leading authority in rear/technical crew training.

With a strong link to Bluedrop Training & Simulation, it naturally followed to offer Air Rescue UK’s experience in SAR flight operations, practical application of medical training and Human Factors to other operators and industries. In late 2022, Air Rescue Training & Simulation was created as a daughter company to Air Rescue UK. Since then, ARTS has been involved with military and civilian clients training ab initio crew members, upskilling existing technical crew and providing advice and support in a wide range of operational settings.

Using Bluedrop’s high-fidelity rear crew VR simulators, ARTS provides training and assessment for crews in situations that cannot be replicated in an aircraft during training due to safety considerations and limitations. With the Hoist Mission Training System (HMTS) providing three-dimensional haptic feedback and the ability to practice emergencies in realistic scenarios, ARTS allows hoist operators to safely obtain experience in demanding and stressful situations before encountering them in live operations. “Smarter training for safe operations.”

Committed to providing bespoke training that adapts dynamically to meet individual and business development requirements; whether you or your business work in aviation or another safety-critical industry, Air Rescue Training & Simulation’s training solutions are designed to make you and your operation safer and more effective.
